Intach Ayodhya Chapter is made to help preserve the heritages in Ayodhya. Ayodhya also known as Oudh/Awadh is a city of temples. It is a religious heritage and religion had played an important role for controlling power in Indian monarchy in the ancient past and in contemporary India too it had played a role in the formation of religious nationalism and identity of religious  eritages.Situated on the banks of Saryu River, it is primarily an ancient tirth and salvic city. Ayodhya is a sacred place not only for Hindus but also for other religions ,like, Jain Bauddh, Sikh and Islam. Now most of the heritages sites and monuments are dilapidating and are in abandoning condition due to lack of rational and viable conservation and preservation strategy also lack of interest and awareness in people along with their involvement.
Ayodhya chapter is made to help preserve and conserve tangible and intangible cultural and natural heritages.
