Intach Ayodhya in co-ordination with its parent body INTACH, Delhi has undertaken a conservation and restoration project at Guptahari Mandir, Guptar Ghar. The temple is ancient and holds great mythological and architectural importance. The buliding of the temple was very old which was built on top of a fort-like structure, many old idols are kept in it. The temple was in a very dilapidated condition and its building was on the verge of being damaged. The building was made entirely out of old construction techniques and materials. It was decided to restore it in its original form and preserve it. Its conservation work was going on for the last almost one year, which is now almost complete.
